Hey folks,

Well, I've decided to take my data-driven longevity and performance journey to the next level: I signed up for my first Olympic distance triathlon. It’s in 100 days!

Naturally, my trusty WHOOP will be a core part of this new adventure, tracking the strain of juggling three new disciplines, prioritizing recovery, and hopefully helping me not completely overcook it.

And because I apparently can't resist more data (or more things to charge), I'm also adding a Polar360, an Oura Ring 4, Garmin HRM600 and a Garmin Instinct 2 to my setup for this triathlon prep (arguably this is to help advance fitIQ platform, not to help prep better).

I'm super curious to see how their data complements the WHOOP insights, especially for multi-sport training. Expect some comparative data points down the line!

Now, in true "me" fashion, the journey has already hit a snag. I bought a used bike yesterday (a lovely Argon 18 Nitro). It worked... for a few hours. This morning, the Di2 battery is dead (not sure if it was just low or if the 'recent replacement' was a myth).

beauty, aint it?

So, Day 1 of official triathlon training, and I'm already googling bike mechanics. My WHOOP recovery is green this morning, but my mental strain is already spiking!

Off to a STELLAR start, right? WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG?

Any fellow WHOOP-wearing triathletes here with tips on interpreting strain and recovery across swim/bike/run? Does your WHOOP pick up the nuances well?

If you want to follow this (likely chaotic) journey of data, sweat, and probably a few more gear mishaps, let's connect on Strava and Insta.

Wish me luck – and a functioning bike battery!
